Start by confirming whether the shopper saw Slingshot’s success message. A filled form is not a signup until submission succeeds.

Repeat a controlled test

  1. Open an unavailable product in a private browser window.
  2. Select the exact unavailable variant.
  3. Enter an email address you can identify.
  4. Submit the form and wait for the success message.
  5. In Slingshot, open Signups.
  6. Clear active filters and search for the full email address.

If submission fails

Check for a visible validation message and confirm the email address is valid. Temporarily disable storefront script blockers, consent tools, or theme optimizers and retry.

If the product changed during the test

Slingshot validates availability when the form is submitted. If the variant became purchasable, the request may be rejected because a notification is no longer needed.

Duplicate tests

Submitting the same email for the same variant more than once may update or reuse an existing waiting request instead of creating a new row. Search without date filters before concluding it is missing.
