A test notification lets you check the sender, content, links, and mobile layout before customers receive an email.

Send the test

  1. In Slingshot, open Customizations → Email templates.
  2. Select the notification template you want to test.
  3. Review and save any changes.
  4. Select Send test email.
  5. Enter an inbox you can access and confirm.

During initial setup, you can also use Send Test Notification from the onboarding checklist.

What to check

  • The sender name is recognizable.
  • The subject explains that the item is back.
  • The product name, image, and button are easy to understand.
  • The button opens the correct storefront product.
  • The business address in the footer is accurate.
  • The message works on mobile as well as desktop.

If it does not arrive

Wait a few minutes, then check Spam, Junk, and Promotions. Confirm the email address has no typo. If the problem continues, follow Email is delayed, failed, or missing.
