DNS changes are not immediate. Many publish within minutes, but some providers and cached resolvers can take longer.
Compare every record
- Open the domain in Settings → Email settings.
- Open DNS settings at your domain provider in another tab.
- Compare record type, name or host, and value character by character.
- Remove accidental spaces, quotation marks, or duplicated domain suffixes.
- Save at the DNS provider and wait before selecting Verify again.
Some providers automatically add your root domain to the host field. If Slingshot shows send.example.com, the provider may expect only send. Follow the provider’s preview of the complete hostname.
Check conflicts
Do not create a second SPF record for the same hostname. Existing email services may need to share one valid SPF policy. Avoid deleting working records for employee email or another service without confirming the effect.
If your DNS provider offers a proxy mode, use DNS-only mode for email authentication records unless the provider explicitly supports the required record through its proxy.

Paid Scale support requests should include the domain, screenshots of the Slingshot records and DNS entries, the DNS provider, and when the records were added. Never include account passwords or registrar recovery codes.
