Slingshot helps you recover sales from products that are temporarily unavailable.

How it works

  1. A shopper selects an unavailable product variant.
  2. Slingshot shows a signup form on the product page.
  3. The shopper enters their email address.
  4. When Shopify reports that exact variant as available again, Slingshot queues a notification.
  5. Slingshot sends the email and records delivery, clicks, conversions, and attributed revenue.

Slingshot always checks current Shopify inventory before sending. It does not notify shoppers for a different size, color, or variant.

What you manage in the app

  • Home: See signups, notifications, conversions, revenue, and recent activity.
  • Signups: Review people waiting for a product or variant.
  • Notifications: Follow sent, delivered, failed, and clicked emails.
  • Products: Understand demand and performance by product or variant.
  • Customizations: Change the signup form and notification email.
  • Settings: Manage store information, email settings, language, and billing.

Slingshot currently sends email notifications. SMS and WhatsApp are not part of the merchant-facing product.

What Slingshot does not change

Slingshot does not update inventory, publish products, or change Shopify orders. Shopify remains the source of truth for products, variants, inventory, and purchases.
